My texts are printed as outlines only (hollow).

Texts with TrueType fonts are not filled (are plotted or PDF-published as outlines) on printing/plotting, rendering and EPS export, when the TEXTFILL variable is set to 0.

Try to set the TEXTFILL variable to 1, make sure you are using a non-rendered, non-hide-lines, plan view.
