"Conversion" of a DWG to the plot format PLT (e.g. HPGL/2) is performed during the AutoCAD plot function (PLOT command). An alternative to this process is using a .DWG file viewer - e.g. 'Autodesk Volo View', 'Autodesk DWG TrueView' or 'Autodesk DWG Viewer' and printing from this program to a system printer - plotter (configured to port FILE).
