Several system variables introduced in AutoCAD 2002 control the display of hidden lines produced by the HIDE and SHADEMODE commands:
  • HALOGAP controls the gap between the end of one edge to its intersection with another edge
  • OBSCUREDLTYPE sets the linetype for hidden edges (e.g. dotted or dashed)
  • OBSCUREDCOLOR sets the color for hidden edges (e.g. gray)
