AutoCAD displays this warning if you try to insert a block (or a drawing containing a block) with the same name as one of the blocks defined in the current drawing. AutoCAD warns that it will use the existing (old) definition of the block.

If you want to redefine (overwrite) the existing definition of a block in your drawing, use the -INSERT (_-INSERT) command as:

_-INSERT oldblockname=newblockname
and cancel (interrupt) the command right after the first prompt with the ESC key. With this, you will overwrite the old block definition with the new contents from the external file newblockname.DWG
