Associtaive dimensions and hatch associativity in AutoCAD DWG drawings are controlled by the DIMASSOC and HPASSOC system variables.

HPASSOC is stored in the Registry, DIMASSOC is a drawing variable (not a dimstyle variable; see also Help for reading in HPASSOC from older drawings).
