How to set the old method of entering and editing DTEXT?

A - answer If you need to use the original functions to create and edit single-line texts (DTEXT) also in AutoCAD 2006, set the DTEXTED to 1.

Then you can e.g. pick new text locations from inside the DTEXT command.
