Q - question

How to dimension the arc length in Inventor?

A - answer For the arc length dimension in a sketch use a computed parameter.

  1. Dimension the radius and the included angle of your arc.
  2. Run the Parameters function and rename both parameters to "Radius" and "Angle".
  3. Use the Add button to add a new parameter, name it "Length".
  4. In the Expression field to enter the value of this parameter as:
    Radius * Angle * PI / 180 deg
  5. In your dimension you can now use a new parameter - "Length" - which will reflect the current arc length.
