Xref message: Unable to detach. Multiple references detected.

Cannot detach and erase/delete Xrefs.

This AutoCAD error message may be displayed when the main drawing contains improperly nested xrefs or the same xref is attached multiple times (on different levels).

First open the xrefs of the first (top) level and detach (or overlay) their xrefs. Save the file(s) and then return to the main drawing and repeat the command.
