Q - question

How to list assemblies where a given part is used?

A - answer To find backward references - i.e. list of assemblies referencing a given Inventor part - you can use the "Design Assistant" utility.

Launch Design Assistant from the Inventor application group. Using the Open command open the tested IPT file of your part. Run the function Tools > Find > Where used. In the dialog, specify paths and file types which will be searched. You may want to check the subfolders option. Run the search. All IAM assemblies containing the part will be listed.
