Flip dimension arrows - outside extension lines.

You can force the dimension arrowheads outside the extension lines even when text does fit.

Use the AIDIMFLIPARROW command. It flips the arrow nearer to your selection point. It is available also in the dimension entity context (right-click) menu - "Flip arrow" (the 6th item in AutoCAD 2009).
