If you drawing objects from xrefs suddenly display in a different (wrong) color hue, there may be four different reasons:
  • Recoloring on plot or in layouts: plot styles were probably assigned (by color or by style)
  • Faded display: check the setting of XDWGFADECTL
  • Check the setting of layer transparency for xref layers
  • VISRETAIN – try to set VISRETAIN=0, reload your xref, return back VISRETAIN=1
