I'm wondering if there's any way to remove the white backgroud you get from a gif file, when you insert a gif file into AutoCad? Thanks for your time

White color will not disturb much on a white paper
You can always clip your raster image or set its transparency (bitonal images only in AutoCAD, any palette color in Map/Civil). See:
