When trying to publish a Part to your library in the Inventor Content Center you get an error message:

There are external dependencies found in the document. Please remove the dependencies then proceed with this command.

The most usual source of this problem is referencing a texture file (bitmap in a material- or decal definition), which is not stored in the default project (project search paths). The default location for textures are subfolders of C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 20XX\Textures\. Break or modify the links to your complaining textures (see Tools > Options > Manage Links) and then retry the publishing.
