Q - question

HideItem - hiding individual items in AutoCAD arrays

A - answer Using the freeware utility HideItem you can hide (turn off their visibility) individual elements of dynamic arrays in AutoCAD (not only the array as a whole as in HIDEOBJECTS). The HideItem command hides the elements you point to. The (in)visibility stays stored in the DWG file. The dynamic nature of the array is preserved even after disabling the selected instances of the array elements.

The tool works not only for dynamic rectangular, polar and curve arrays (ARRAY), but also for other DWG object types.

The reverse command ShowItem will again show (unhide) these hidden objects - you can select all objects (except arrays) at once, or individual dynamic arrays to be completely "revealed".

Download the HideItem utility from Download, load it into your AutoCAD with APPLOAD and run it by typing the command HideItem or ShowItem.
