Q - question

How to create a 360° spherical panorama of your CAD model?

A - answer You can create a "spherical photo" (immersive image) of your 3D CAD model e.g. using Autodesk 3ds Max (part of Autodesk Design Suites), or with Autodesk 360 Cloud Render. 3ds Max directly imports DWG, IPT/IAM, RVT and many other CAD formats. Cloud render currently supports DWG (AutoCAD), RVT (Revit) and Fusion 360 files. You will need to convert other formats (e.g. Inventor) before you can cloud-render them.

In 3ds Max, use the "Panorama Exporter" from Utilities panel > Utilities rollout > More button > Utilities dialog > Panorama Exporter a set the rendering options for the spherical panorama rendering of your 3D scene (camera in the center).

In the Autodesk 360 cloud render (360.autodesk.com), upload your CAD model and set the rendering parameters to create a panorama - see the blog post Amaze your client with 360-panorama on our Budweiser blog. You can also download a free interactive viewer for the resulting panoramas (6-views hi-res JPG files) or share and view them online.
