Q - question

How to display COG in Inventor drawing views?

A - answer To display and prnt a point (cross) of the center-of-gravity (COG) of a IPT part or IAM assembly in an Inventor drawing view (IDW, DWG), right-click on the given part in the browser tree and check the COG option in the context menu.

You can dimension and constrain to the COG point.

To transfer the COG point from an IAM assembly to the drawing view in older Inventor versions, use the COG utility, which can be downloaded from Download. It creates a dynamic workpoint in the COG.
