How to download and install an update of Autodesk software - e.g. Revit 2017.1?

A - answer The installation image of an update of your Autodesk CAD software (e.g. Revit 2017.1) can be downloaded from several sources, e.g. after logging in to your subscription account (on, in the section Product Updates, ...

... or after clicking into the Autodesk Desktop App in the category Revit > Revit 2017.1 Update > Update

After downloading the installation file and launching it, the update process is started. At the end, you will need to restart your computer to complete the update.

Autodesk Revit will then start in the updated version 2017.1.
