Q - question

How to enable/disable automatic display of PDFs published from Inventor?

A - answer The mode in that a PDF viewer (typically Acrobat Reader) is automatically started after you export/publish a PDF file from Inventor drawing environment, is controlled through a common setting from the DWF export.

So, to toggle this automatic display, use the function I > Export > Export to DWF and set the option "Display Published File in Viewer". Click Publish (you don't need to complete the DWF export). Then this option will apply also for opening files after PDF Export (and for Save As PDF).
