How to enable or disable Task Pane in AutoCAD Map?

The Task Pane window can be permanently enabled or disabled by setting the Options in AutoCAD Map 3D.

Run the MAPOPTIONS command and check or uncheck the option "Show Task Pane On Startup" in the "Task Pane" tab (startup options). In the current session, you can switch the Task Pane on and off using the MAPWSPACE command.

In an undocked state you can also control the transparency of the Task Pane palette - right click on its title bar.
