Q - question

How to remove all anonymous groups from an AutoCAD drawing?

A - answer Some add-on applications may create a large number of anonymous groups in a DWG file while copying objects. These anonymous groups (blocks) are named like *A1, *A2, .... *A####. They cannot be erased with standard AutoCAD tools.

To delete and remove these groups, use the freeware utility by CAD Studio - DelGrpA. Download the LSP file from Download, load it with APPLOAD and run the DELGRPA command. This command lists all deleted anonymous groups.
