The compatibility of AutoCAD 2012 for Mac with the Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and Mac OS X Lion is provided by the AutoCAD Service Pack 1.

Install the SP1 (or higher; see Download) for AutoCAD 2012 for Mac. Run the SP1 installer by mounting the DMG file and running the AutoCAD2012ForMacSP1.mpkg file. After a successful installation of SP1 your AutoCAD 2012 should report version "F051.M.106" on the _VERNUM command.
