Q - question

Modeling error: attempted operation did not produce a meaningful result

A - answer If Inventor displays a modelling operation error message:

The attempted operation did not produce a meaningful result. Try with different inputs.

it is usually caused by invalid geometry - e.g. imported from external data. A frequent source of problems is e.g. an extrusion path as a curve containing duplicate vertices, duplicate segments or "zig-zag" (backing) segments along its length.
