Interbase (V5/5.5/6) database tables opened from AutoCAD are locked exclusively - "Lock Conflict or no Wait Transaction" error.

You have to use other than standard ODBC database driver.
Either use OLE DB driver for Interbase (as of this time there is no version of OLEDB which will run correctly inside AutoCAD), or use a commercial ODBC driver by Easysoft (http://www.easysoft.com/products/interbase/main.phtml) - the only driver which currently (Feb-2001) runs fine in AutoCAD/Interbase environment.
