How to replace POINTs in a drawing by BLOCKs?

If you want to replace point entities in your drawing by insertions of a block (with an autoincremented number in block attribute) you can use the PT2BLK VBA application. Open the sample drawing, load the DVB file in AutoCAD and run the ReplaceEntWithBlock macro.

You can download the ZIP file with DVB project and a sample drawing from the public part (login/name = demoen/demoen) of the iPROJECT server:
