How to get the Inventor Serial Number?

A - answer E.g. for external applications you may need to get the serial number of the installed Inventor. You can find it in the Registry - e.g. (2 examples):
  
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Inventor\System\License
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersionX.Y\System\License  
- e.g. as a value of (2 examples):
  
C:\Inventor 5.3\Bin\Inventor.exe:000-00000000
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 8\Bin\Inventor.exe:SerialNumber
