What for is the lock icon on AutoCAD status bar?

You can use this lock to disable rearranging of toolbars and windows in your AutoCAD workspace. Icon in the 'locked' state indicates the screen elements are locked in place.

To temporarily override the locked status, hold the Ctrl key while moving the toolbar or window.

The lock status is controlled by the LOCKUI system variable.
