When saving a copy (Save copy as...) from Inventor drawing view (idw) you choose the .DWG file format, but the save command doesn't create any DWG file.
Under the Options button on DWG export, you have probably checked "Pack and Go" postprocess option. This option packs (compress) all neccessary output files for simple transfer. As a result of the DWG-export, Inventor creates a single .ZIP file containing among others (fonts) also your exported DWG drawing.
