Q - question

A free tool to measure DWG, DXF, DWF and DWFX drawings.

A - answer With the free application Autodesk Design Review (2008/2007) you can not only view and print but also measure and markup CAD files in the DWG, DXF, DWF (and other, like DGN or JT) formats.

Use File > Import (Ctrl+I) to load your .DWG or .DXF drawing and then choose the "Measure Length" tool (E key) to measure the distance of specified points or entities (you can use osnaps).
