Q - question

What is the difference between the MaterialAttach and MaterialAssign commands?

A - answer Both the MATERIALASSIGN and MATERIALATTACH commands assign rendering materials to the drawing objects.

The MATERIALASSIGN command assigns the given material to the individual selected objects (using a "paintbrush" cursor). The assigned material is defined in the CMATERIAL variable.

The MATERIALATTACH command displays a dialog where you can associate materials and layers. The selected material will be used for all objects in the given layer, which have their Material property set to BYLAYER.
