If you need to find the serial number of your AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Civil 3D or other AutoCAD-based application, you can use several methods.
  1. List the value of the *_PKSER variable (enter as a command on the AutoCAD commandline)
  2. Use the command ABOUT and display the product information window
  3. List the Registry key SerialNumber in a Registry hive corresponding to your application - e.g.: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R17.2\ACAD-7001:409
  4. List the license activation report file - see the Tip 3511
To get your AutoCAD serial number for installation please see the sticker on the package of your installation DVD, or the delivery documentation, or the serial number provided by your AutoCAD authorized dealer or Autodesk.

Please note that AutoCAD licensing doesn't depend on serial numbers anymore (since its subscription-based named-user online licensing).
