Cannot delete a drawing layer (contains objects).

A - answer If AutoCAD does not allow to erase a layer (refuses purging), complaining that it contains objects, use the LAYDEL command.

This command deletes a layer including all its remaining objects, including any object elements laying in the particular layer.
