Q - question

Set units/scale for STEP export from AutoCAD.

A - answer The STEPOUT command in AutoCAD Mechanical offers several options for the STEP file export proces. You can access them through the "Options" button in the "STEPOUT translation" dialog.

An important option is the Units setting. It must match the size units used in your AutoCAD 3D DWG model, otherwise your model in the STEP-format file will be scaled up or down (larger or smaller than modelled).
