SketchUp 8 format SKP files and Revit 2011.

SKP files in the format of Google SketchUp 8 are not compatible with the import function in Revit Architecture 2011. First save the file to the version 7 SKP format - this can be read into Revit.

Use the same process for importing SKP files into Autodesk 3ds Max 2011.
