If you hear (in AutoCAD context) about files with the extension .vix, .isp, .dvg, .dvf, .sid, .dci, .dwi, .mni, .xig and other, it is most probably only a typo or misinterpreted character.

In these situations, such files are rather the .vlx (compiled LISP), .lsp (LISP), .dwg (drawing), .dwf (web drawing), .sld (slide), .dcl (dialog), .dwl (lock), .mnl (menu Lisp), .xlf (xref log) files.

Similarly with Inventor you may find changed characters in the IPT/LPT, IAM/LAM, IDW/LDW file extensions.
