If you need - for some modeling operation - to change the type of the drawing object 2D LWPOLYLINE to 3D POLYLINE, you can use the simple utility CADstudio 2D3DPoly.

The 2D3DPOLY command changes the selected lightweight polyline to the 3D version of polyline without changing its geometry and appearance.
