If you need to export 3D versions of the .SHP format files (ESRI Shapefile) from AutoCAD Map 3D or Civil 3D, switch on the respective option in the export driver.

In the dialog of the MAPEXPORT command select the basic options for the export (the Selection tab) and then on the Options tab click on the "Driver options" button. Choose the option "Three-dimensional shape files". Finish the export (file save).

To export polyline objects (including 3D polylines) you will need to select the object type "Line".
