Q - question

How to make AutoCAD render without background (transparent)?

A - answer In AutoCAD, you can save the rendered scene (picture) without any background, just with the shaded 3D geometry.

In the RPREF palette, set the "Output file name" to a PNG-format image and in the dialog "PNG image options" choose the 32-bit color - "(24 Bits + Alpha)". The resulting image will contain transparent background whcih can be e.g. merged with a photo in Photoshop or otherwise used for DTP processing.
