Q - question

How to publish a DWG to a PDF file without attaching "-Model" to its name?

A - answer The AutoCAD PLOT command with the internal Autodesk PDF driver (i.e. DWG To PDF.pc3 or AutoCAD PDX xxx.pc3) always adds the suffix "-Model" (resp. the layout name) to the published PDF filename - e.g. Drawing1-Model.pdf.

On the other hand, the commands PUBLISH and EXPORTPDF leave the PDF file name untouched, the same as the drawing name. Another option is to use an external PDF driver (e.g. Adobe Acrobat) or some publishing add-on utility - e.g. our AutoPDF (Download).

A similar limitaion applies also for publishing DWF/DWFx files.
