Q - question

Loading 3D models in the FBX format into AutoCAD.

A - answer AutoCAD 2011 contains two new commands for import and export of the FBX format files - FBXIMPORT and FBXEXPORT.

So you can import 3D objects from many public sources into AutoCAD. As an example - here is the NASA library containing 3D models of NASA satellites - NASA 3D models. Just start the FBXIMPORT command and choose the FBX file to load (do not load as a block).
