Position and docking of the Measure palette in Inventor 2024.

A - answer The position, screen location, and dimensions of the Measure tool palette in Inventor 2024 are stored in the Registry.

To preset the position of this panel, you can edit the values in the Registry in Windows.

The GUID of this tool pane can be found in the Registry key TargetGuid in the branch HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion28.0\Snapping\ToolPaletteMeasure (RegistryVersion varies by Inventor release) - in our example it is xqlsyucwnkezgnch3tlojshonc:

Then lookup the same GUID in the Pane list in the branch HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion28.0\DockingAreasRibbon\DockableWindows\Pane. The given subbranch - in our example yyfv61b6nwf5p4lxvg1desavje then contains all the dimensional parameters for displaying and docking of the Measure panel:
