Q - question

Product codes (registry) of Autodesk CAD applications.

A - answer Autodesk products use product codes (ProductID, feature code), which identify (e.g. in the Registry) the type (flavor) of the CAD software product, its version and language localization (LocaleID).

The ProductID code has the following structure:
ACAD-< ProductID >:< LocaleID >

Example: ACAD-7005:409 = AutoCAD Mechanical 2009 English

You can find these codes in the Registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD
