User interface in Autodesk Civil 3D offers two similar "Purge" commands.

The first one, AutoCAD-like, can be found by default in the ribbon C3D > Drawing Tools > Purge (or by entering the PURGE command) and offers a classic bulk deletion of unused symbols and definitions in the DWG file (layers, blocks, fonts, etc.).

The second, special Civil Purge command can be found in the Manage > Styles > Purge ribbon (_PurgeStyles command).

Its dialog offers bulk cleanup of unused AEC styles (e.g. point labels, profiles, table styles, surfaces, sections... - over 250 styles in total) of a given drawing - either inserted from a template or from a loaded drawing from another source.
