3D terrain model of any place in Czechia - elevation data by the Czech Land Survey Office (CUZK) into Civil 3D.

A - answer On the Civil3D.cz blog you will find a useful tip describing how to easily and free of charge obtain a 3D terrain model of any place of the Czech Republic.

The 3D point data in the form of XYZ coordinates can be obtained from the dataset "Altimetry - DMR 5G". The 5th generation digital elevation model of the Czech Republic is provided by the Czech Geodetic and Cadastral Office (ČUZK) and it is provided in the S-JTSK coordinates. These can be directly imported into the Autodesk Civil 3D software. The reported mean error in the elevation of these datapoints is 0.18 m in exposed terrain and 0.30 m in forested terrain.
