One the new functions in AutoCAD 2013 is the annotation monitoring. It notifies automatically about non-associative dimensions, leaders and associated model geometry. Its functionality is cntrolled by the ANNOMONITOR variable.

The value of -2 (the default) means disabled monitoring but automatic enabling on any change or update of the model documentation.

Any warnings are indicated by a red cross icon in AutoCAD status line and by exclamation marks on the dissociated annotations.
