Displaying special icons for DWG files with valid digital signatures can make Windows Explorer slow.

You may want to disable this setting. Right-click on the AutoCAD icon (on your desktop) and choose "Enable/Disable Digital Signature Icons". Uncheck the Validate option and restart (login) your Windows session.

You can also do the same by starting the AcSignOpt.exe program from the Windows System folder (\Windows\Sysnative in 64-bit versions).
