In AutoCAD, you can redirect the created backup files (.BAK) of your DWG drawings to another specified folder (a BAK directory) with the Express Tools command MOVEBAK.

If you have Express Tools installed, you can also just set the environment variable "AcetMovebak":

(setenv "AcetMovebak" "C:\\MyBackups\\")
Saving of BAK files during drawing Save is controlled (yes/no) with the ISAVEBAK variable.
