Quickly select all objects in a given layer or all blocks ABC.

The new command SELECTSIMILAR in AutoCAD 2011 allows to quickly select all drawing objects which are some way similar to the picked object. So you can easily select e.g. all entities in a given layer, all entities with a given color, style, linetype, or all references of the same block.

The selection method of similar objects (similarity) can be controlled by the option Settings or by the SELECTSIMILARMODE variable.
