Q - question

Batch conversion of CAD files from/to the IPT/IAM, STEP, IGES, SAT, Catia... formats

A - answer You can use the Inventor Task Scheduler (see Windows > Start ... Inventor > Tools) for easy batch conversion (export) of Inventor files to foreign CAD formats, or vice-versa to import whole folders of foreign files to the Inventor file format, for batch-converting IDW drawings to DWG (or vice-versa), for multiple Vault check-outs and check-ins, for batch prints, batch DWF-publishing, for file-version updates and other batch operations.

In the Task Scheduler use Create Task > Export files or Import files etc. and use the "Add files" icon (+) to select files you want to process, where the results shall be stored and other options of the conversion task (job).

You can immediately perform the batch task, schedule it to a future time/date, or repeat it regularly in predefined times.
