Bullitt is an action film that stars Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, and Jacqueline Bisset. According to Wikipedia, Bullitt is notable for its car chase scene through the streets of San Francisco, regarded as one of the most influential in movie history. I'll never forget this movie because I was allowed to go see it in the theater because I got a 100% on my math quiz. I was 9 years old. As mentioned, I and everyone else will never forget this chase scene. Ford didn't forget that chase sene either. When they enlisted Carroll Shelby in early 2000 for the redesign of the Ford Mustang GT, the headlight assembly was patterned after Steve McQueen's eyes. What movies of today will inspire the car designs of tomorrow? History is alive in the lab. Go to the original post... |
