CAD tip # 8901:
Question
Main features of the application 123D Design are described in the recent Budweiser blog posting. This application works in the web browser environment (recommended: Google Chrome) on any computer. Directly from the 3D modeler you can run the "FAB" module (menu: "CNC Utility"), where you can set parameters for your model, material and machining tools (mills). Then you can launch the CNC code generation and simulate the machining process visually. The HSMworks kernel is used internally for thise CAM functionality.

This CAD/CAM application is a perfect tool for makers and hobbyists - it is quick, easy and free. For professional machining use a professional CAM tool like Inventor CAM or other CAM solutions for Inventor, PowerMill, etc..
